Welcome to the latest Release Updates post.

It's certainly not going to be the longest list of updates this month, if you attended StoreFeeder Sessions this year, you'll likely be well aware that we've been putting a lot of our time and focus into getting the new version of StoreFeeder up and running which is just looking more and more exciting the more we get to see of it!

If you weren't in attendance at StoreFeeder Sessions, then why on earth not?! It went fantastically, an even further improvement from last time round if I do say so myself! It'd be great to see you the next time we host Sessions but for now, why not check out our blog and catch up on all of the great stuff spoken about on stage.

As per usual, our developers have been working hard to bring you an exciting update this month. There has been a lot of work in the background (which you can read about here) but there have been some great updates and new features released this past month, the highlights of which are below:

Shopify Save & Upload

Practically all of our other channel integrations allow singular listings to be edited and then save & uploaded to channel without needing to have 'Upload Listings' switched on, on the integration but historically not Shopify. As of this update that's no longer the case, if you wish to make and edit to your listing and send it up to channel without having to worry about all your listings being sent up in their current state, then you can now go ahead and do so.

Just to reiterate, you DO NOT need to switch 'Upload Listings' on, on your Shopify integration for this to work and I would actively advise against doing so unless you are confident that all your listings in StoreFeeder are exactly as you wish for them to appear on channel. Switching the 'Upload Listings' setting on enables StoreFeeder to automatically update channel with any changes that are made to listings, but this also means that we will try to update Shopify with what we currently have in StoreFeeder as of turning the setting on, meaning we could potentially overwrite any changes that have made to listings directly on channel if those changes were not also reflected in StoreFeeder.

Greek Postcode Validation

We noticed something odd recently; would you believe me if I told you that postcodes for orders going to Greece were failing validation on a daily basis and that the cause of this issue was not the fact that there were special characters involved (in fact there aren't any included in Greek postcodes)?

Well it turns out that it was simply a formatting issue, orders were being imported into StoreFeeder with a space in different locations and sometimes with simply no space at all so, to make life simpler we've made it so that no matter where the space is located, it'll still work as long as the numbers involved are correct. So to show you the most common format examples, all the following would now be accepted:

  • 12345
  • 12 345
  • 123 45

Hopefully this stops slowing down your order processing the moment you hit a Greek order!

Finally….

There have been some great new features and fixes implemented in this last month's releases and we hope you find them useful in one way or another.

As always, we’ll keep working hard to provide you with the best service we can.

From all of us here at StoreFeeder, happy selling.
