Outgrown Click & Drop? Move up to the WMS from the team that built it

Royal Mail Click & Drop was our idea, and StoreFeeder has built and run it for 12 years. When your business needs more than labels and order imports, StoreFeeder adds the warehouse behind it: barcode picking, live stock across every channel and more couriers, with Royal Mail still built in.

Signs you've outgrown Click & Drop

Stock lives somewhere else
Orders and labels are in one place, but stock is kept in spreadsheets or channel portals, so overselling creeps in.
Picking depends on memory
Paper pick lists and no bin locations mean accuracy relies on whoever has worked there longest.
More couriers, more portals
Adding a second carrier means another login and another label process at the packing bench.

Click & Drop and StoreFeeder: how they fit together

Click & Drop is Royal Mail's online tool for importing orders and creating Royal Mail and Parcelforce labels. It was StoreFeeder's idea, and StoreFeeder has built and run it for 12 years: you'll see “Built by StoreFeeder” at the foot of the Click & Drop site. StoreFeeder is also a full warehouse management system, part of Royal Mail Group since 2015, for businesses that need to run a warehouse as well as ship parcels.

When Click & Drop is enough

If you ship with Royal Mail, keep your stock simple and pick from memory without errors, Click & Drop does the job well.

When to move up to StoreFeeder

  • Stock across channels: you sell the same products on several marketplaces and your own store, and need one live stock figure.
  • Warehouse accuracy: you need bin locations, pick routes and barcode validation so accuracy doesn't depend on experience.
  • More than one carrier: you want to use other couriers alongside Royal Mail, with rules choosing the right one.
  • Growth: you're adding staff, channels or a second warehouse and want it all in one system.

What moving involves

Connecting an existing store takes under 30 minutes. With a named implementation specialist, standard onboarding typically takes 3–6 weeks. StoreFeeder plans start from £350 a month ex VAT on rolling 30-day terms, and there's a free trial with no card required. See Royal Mail in StoreFeeder, pricing or book a demo.
