Welcome to the latest Release Updates post.
We've had ourselves a somewhat feel-good month since we last spoke, England bagged 29 golds at the Commonwealth Games and the weather decided to show off more than ever, delivering the sunniest July on record since 1910. Add in an economy that's actually been quietly ticking along better than expected for once and you've got a month in England that may have actually been as bright as the sun has been.
Speaking of things looking bright, boy oh boy do I have a brilliant list of featured updates to share with you this month, some of which I know will make all your lives easier.
As per usual, our developers have been working hard to bring you an exciting update this month. There has been a lot of work in the background (which you can read about here) but there have been some great updates and new features released this past month, the highlights of which are below:
New Insights Reports
Firstly, I'll start by saying that if you haven't checked out the insights page in StoreFeeder (and if you haven't, what are you doing?! It's been there for a year now!) then you should certainly do so, the reporting engine on that page is spectacular and will help you build the perfect reports you need for your business. You can learn all about the insights page by visiting our knowledgebase here.
Three new insights reports were released over the course of last month and personally, I think they are all brilliant:
Deleted Orders - Will show you all orders that have been deleted within the specified date range along with which user deleted them and when they did it. Extremely useful tool for tracking down AWOL orders and finding out why they were deleted.
Deleted Products - It'll come as no shock to anyone that this report is identical to the one above except it's deleted products that are the subject matter. Also extremely useful for exactly the same reasons!
Destination Country Sales Performance - A simple but useful report that demonstrates sales performance for each country at a glance. All this report needs to show you is the Destination, Number of Orders and Revenue to be a valuable report to be able to produce at the click of a button.
Unit of Measurement Conversion Button
A nifty little tool has been added to the edit product page, you can now convert other units of measurement to mm so that they are compatible with StoreFeeder's dimension fields. See below how I have measurements in inches for my product:
Now by simply clicking the "Convert to mm" button, not only will it convert the measurement to mm but it will also fill in the Length, Width & Height/Depth fields for me!
Pretty handy if you ask me! Not everyone measures in mm after all.
Shopify Partially Fulfilled Orders
An excellent addition to our Shopify integration, we now are able to import the unfulfilled portion of partially fulfilled orders!
But wait, wouldn't the order have just been partially fulfilled after being imported into StoreFeeder? Well, sometimes orders contain items that are fulfilled by other companies that aren't using StoreFeeder or perhaps they contain a digital item that's fulfilled instantly the moment the orders are placed. both of these scenarios would wind up with the order being partially fulfilled and StoreFeeder not importing them as we just saw them as being fulfilled and thus not needed in StoreFeeder.
Now with the above in mind, depending on why you might have partially fulfilled orders, sometimes you might not want them coming into StoreFeeder; we've made it optional as a result of that logic.
So, if you would like the unfulfilled portion of your partially fulfilled orders to be imported into StoreFeeder for processing then you can do now by switching the "Import Partially Shipped Orders" toggle on within your Shopify integration.
