How Response Vehicle Lighting simplified warehouse operations and eliminated stock errors with StoreFeeder

Response Vehicle Lighting joined StoreFeeder in 2019. We spoke to Rachael, Head of Operations, and Emma, Head of Sales about the impact that StoreFeeder has had on their business. Watch the recap, or read on for the full story.

The challenge

Manual processes slowed fulfilment and increased errors

Response Vehicle Lighting is a supplier of specialist lighting for emergency and commercial vehicles, everything from council vans and tractors to police cars and breakdown fleets. With a growing multi-channel operation across their own website, eBay and Amazon, their small team needed a better way to handle stock and fulfilment.

Before StoreFeeder, the team relied entirely on manual processes:

  • No stock location tracking, everything relied on staff memory.
  • Orders were picked individually, not batched.
  • Courier bookings required copy-pasting data into external systems.
  • Stock levels across channels were not connected, risking oversells.

"We had no idea where things were, it was all in our heads. Picking was slow, and we were constantly opening up courier apps and typing in details." – Emma, Head of Sales

The solution

A single platform for inventory, despatch and multi-channel sync

Since switching to StoreFeeder, the team now works from one connected system:

  • Full warehouse visibility – Every item has a fixed location in the warehouse: aisle, shelf and bin, eliminating the need to memorise where products are stored.
  • Optimised picking – Orders are grouped into efficient pickwaves, reducing backtracking and speeding up fulfilment.
  • Connected channels – Orders from eBay, their own site, and Amazon flow into StoreFeeder automatically. Stock levels update across all platforms automatically.
  • Courier automation – DPD and Royal Mail bookings are handled directly within StoreFeeder, no copy-paste, no errors.
  • Fast onboarding – Despite having no prior system, the team got up and running quickly with help from StoreFeeder’s implementation team.

"We were nervous, coming from nothing,  but the implementation team made it easy. It was all really simple to implement… Everything’s in one place now, no switching between tabs, no duplicate work. It’s just made life easier.” – Rachael, Head of Operations

The results

Faster fulfilment, fewer errors, more time for growth

Response Vehicle Lighting now experiences significantly fewer picking mistakes, with human errors in packing almost eliminated. Faster onboarding means new staff are confident with the system in under a week, and automatic stock accuracy across all channels, reducing the risk of overselling. Courier booking has also been reduced from minutes to just seconds.
