Industry Leaders Panel: Key Takeaways from StoreFeeder Sessions 2026
May 29, 2026
At StoreFeeder Sessions 2026, Ian Dade, Operations Manager at StoreFeeder, hosted our Industry Leaders Panel, bringing together Anneliese Pickard from eBay, Tony Tong from Temu, Jon Reeves from Royal Mail, and Brian Williamson from StoreFeeder.
The session explored the future of eCommerce, including marketplace growth, delivery expectations, live shopping, AI, automation and the importance of customer trust.
You can watch the full session below.
Marketplaces and customer trust
Tony Tong discussed Temu’s move towards local-to-local selling, giving UK sellers access to more customers while offering shoppers greater choice and confidence.
Anneliese Pickard highlighted the growth of eBay Live, where sellers can showcase products, answer questions in real time and build stronger connections with buyers.
A key takeaway was that successful marketplaces will need to offer more than low prices. Trust, value and a consistent customer experience will be just as important.
Delivery, operations and automation
Jon Reeves explained how Royal Mail is evolving its network to support later collections, faster delivery expectations and improved sustainability.
Brian Williamson added that retailers need both strong software and reliable warehouse processes if they want to scale successfully.
As eCommerce becomes more automated, the panel agreed that clean data, good systems and repeatable processes will become even more important.
AI and the future of selling
The panel discussed how AI can help retailers make better decisions, improve listings, protect customer experience and spot opportunities within their business.
However, AI still needs human oversight. The businesses that succeed will be those that use technology to enhance the customer experience without losing the human touch.
Final thoughts
The Industry Leaders Panel made it clear that the future of eCommerce will be shaped by technology, trust and operational excellence.
Marketplaces are evolving, delivery networks are adapting, and AI is creating new opportunities. But the fundamentals still matter: accurate data, connected systems, reliable fulfilment, strong customer service and a clear focus on the buyer experience.
A huge thank you to Ian Dade, Anneliese Pickard, Tony Tong, Jon Reeves and Brian Williamson for sharing their insights at StoreFeeder Sessions 2026.
