Partner Blog - UK retailer opens second warehouse after Temu and StoreFeeder drive revenue surge
February 9, 2026
Spot On-Line (SOL) started in 2018, selling affordable home and craft supplies from its warehouse in Leeds, Yorkshire.
What began as a small business has grown hugely, powered by StoreFeeder’s operational backbone to manage the recent demand from Temu.

This momentum has allowed SOL to scale with confidence, opening a second warehouse, hiring new employees, and mapping further expansion into Europe and the US.
Successful e-commerce growth depends on matching two elements: systems that can handle growth and channels that create it. Retailers who align both can scale fast. Those who don’t get stuck.
Strong start on Temu
When Temu began onboarding UK sellers in late 2024, SOL moved quickly to list its products on the platform.
Within four weeks, daily sales jumped over sevenfold. The first full month brought £72,000 in gross revenue.
"It was the strongest start we've had on any channel," said Spencer Saunders, marketplace director at SOL. "We saw net sales take off and growth establish so quickly."
SOL is part of the Purston Park Group, which also operates Overseas Trading Limited, a trade supplier of DIY tools, stationery, partyware and toys. As demand for affordable goods increased, the group shifted towards direct-to-consumer sales through SOL.
"The cost-of-living crisis is forcing people to be more selective about where they shop," Saunders said. "Our strategy of offering great value fits closely with what Temu is known for, and that alignment has helped us grow quickly."
Smooth operations with StoreFeeder
SOL’s success wasn't just about more sales, it was about having a system that could handle the load without breaking.
As order volumes climbed through Temu and other channels, SOL relied on StoreFeeder to manage the operational complexity.
StoreFeeder consolidates orders and inventory from all channels into a single workflow, giving warehouse teams a unified platform for picking and shipping.

SOL’s parent company, Purston Park, operates a warehouse in Leeds and is building a second facility.
With StoreFeeder handling the backend, SOL could automatically process rising order volumes without adding complexity or new processes. This ensured that increased demand translated into fulfilled orders, rather than operational bottlenecks.
"It's been great to support SOL as they scale their fulfilment operation," said Ian Dade, StoreFeeder's operations manager. "We've brought orders into one place and helped the warehouse team keep dispatch running smoothly as demand grows."
A partnership built for growth
The seamless connection between Temu and StoreFeeder comes from a partnership that integrates the marketplace directly into the warehouse management system.
When items sell on Temu, StoreFeeder instantly updates inventory levels.
The connection allows retailers like SOL to manage all Temu orders through StoreFeeder's platform, with real-time stock updates across all channels. No need for new software, retraining staff or separate workflows.
From revenue to real investment
SOL is building a second distribution facility in Leeds for online orders. The site will create new jobs in logistics and operations and increase SOL's ability to process more orders, meaning faster delivery to UK customers.
International expansion is next. SOL plans a US launch with Ireland to follow. By 2026, the company aims to be trading across Europe, leveraging Temu's infrastructure while continuing to invest in its UK base.
Temu now supports local sellers in more than a dozen markets, including the US, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Australia. In Europe, Temu expects up to 80% of its sales to be both sourced and shipped locally.
"For sellers looking to expand, Temu offers an unbeatable advantage," Saunders said. "It puts our products in front of millions of active shoppers without the usual high costs of advertising or marketplace fees
StoreFeeder customers can sign up to Temu using our link, which gives sellers support by local Temu BD's and account management.
