The meet our team train is speeding into the station once more! This week, we get to know Le Grand Fromage of Recruitment, a member of the team who is responsible for building the StoreFeeder team. As the team StoreFeeder Express pulls into the HR station, let’s welcome Kylie Campbell.

What’s your job title?

HR Business Partner

What do you do at StoreFeeder?

I work with the fantastic Andrea (Finance & HR Manager)on recruitment, policy, employee relations, training, people initiatives and many other things, including ensuring adequate levels of treats in the kitchen. My work is centred around ensuring that the great people at StoreFeeder are looked after, and there are some valuable pieces of work in the pipeline.

What are your past credentials? How do you fit into theStoreFeeder makeup?

I feel like I’ve had many lives before joining StoreFeeder…Once upon a time, I was a musician, then a Customer Experience specialist, and then I found my calling in the world of people. I have worked from HR Coordinator at a building firm to HR Advisor within local government while completing my BSc in Human Resources Management. I have CIPD Level 3, and I’m completing a Masters/CIPD Level 7 in HRM. I joined StoreFeeder as I thrive in smaller businesses where I can get to know everyone properly, and after meeting Andrea and Brian, I knew this would be the right place for me.

What do you like bestabout working at StoreFeeder?

It’s the people, without a doubt. I am lucky to work in a company where all of my colleagues are fantastic people, friendly, exciting and knowledgeable.

What values drive you?

Honesty and Fun are the values that resonate most with me. I am driven to create and foster an open and honest workplace, as, in my experience, that makes the best working environment. It’s also important to have fun, create opportunities for fun, and encourage relationship building that is wider than just the day-to-day business to get to the sweet spot of being a happy team member.

Who’s your favourite band?

That’s the million-dollar question and one I rarely commit to! I generally switch between The Cult or Oceansize but don’t hold me to this,as it could be something else on a different day.

You have an interdimensional dinner party, and you caninvite three famous people from any time. Who would they be? And why?

I’d invite Prince, David Bowie and Stanley Tucci. The former two because the stories would be incredible, and the latter because I have always admired his work and would like to be his friend.

What is your favourite quote?

I can never decide between two. Either “Clarior Hinc Honos”,which translates as “Brighter, Hence the Honour” (my Clan’s motto) or “I don’t know, what are your thoughts?” Drop Dead Fred.

What do you like to do when you’re not shoulder to thegrindstone at StoreFeeder?

I’ve always got some kind of craft project on the go – most recently, candle making. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and our two cats, doing a bit of travel in search of the world’s best vegan junk food, and going to support our many musical friend's gigs as often as possible.
