Let's talk about selling on eBay.

September 1, 2022

This week we met a business selling across multiple channels but not eBay. We asked them why and they said quite simply. “We’re not sure it fits our brand”.  We were a little bit confused by this. Because eBay is very suitable for brands like Adidas, River Island, Jack and Jones, Superdry, White Stuff, Hobbs, and so on.

If you are not selling on eBay, here are a few reasons why perhaps you should consider it.

  • eBay has over 180M customers globally
  • There are more than 25m active sellers, on eBay – the more sellers there are, the more eyeballs the site gets
  • As of 2020, eBays market capitalisation was £30.45Billion
  • Your customers love eBay – Most people do

Selling on eBay is a no-brainer if you have successful eCommerce stores; eBay is a channel that has the 3rd largest footfall on the internet. It couldn’t be easier to get set up and running, either.
eBay is running a series of New Business Roadshows throughout the country. The next will be at Southend on Sea on the 8Th September. eBay is always looking for new sellers, and these roadshows are a perfect introduction to getting up and running on the platform.

At the event, you can expect a whole host of content dedicated to helping you start, scale and share your eBay business, practical tips on launching, inspiration from local entrepreneurs, special guests and dedicated 1:1 support. You can also enjoy a free bar, giveaways and access to local manufacturers and suppliers.

Here’s what you can expect:
