Meet Our team | Adam Roberts
August 4, 2022
The bullet train that is the StoreFeeder meet our team series continues. Calling at all stations to ecommerce nirvana. The next stop is projects, with the Vice Admiral of Project Support; Adam Roberts. Step forward sir, it's your time to shine.
What’s Your job title?
Project/Support Lead
What do you do at StoreFeeder?
I lead the support team for our Click & Drop platform, and I oversee development for our newest platform, ChannelShipper.
I like to think my main job though is finding solutions to all kinds of problems.
What problem faced by eCommerce companies is it that you want to solve?
Trying to reconcile so many different systems and moving parts can be a nightmare. Every eCommerce site behaves differently, international customs requirements are always changing, and there’s a lot of competition out there. I just want to make life easier for as many of our customers as possible.
What are your past credentials? How do you fit into the StoreFeeder make-up?
I’ve had very varied careers. I worked in education, I was a chef, I was a painter and decorator for a while, and I’m a qualified business analyst. I started in StoreFeeder in the support team six years ago, and I’ve been learning and improving ever since.
What do you like best about working at StoreFeeder?
We have a great environment here. StoreFeeder truly values its staff, our career development, and our wellbeing. We really support each other. From a personal point of view, I love solving problems, and that’s something I get to do every day.
What is the primary benefit a company gets by signing up to StoreFeeder?
We take the pain out of eCommerce, and automate many of the difficult day to day tasks, giving our customers time to focus on what’s important.
What values drive you?
Knowledge, understanding, and empathy.
Who’s your favourite band?
I’m currently a bit obsessed with Saor, a Scottish folk metal band. They’re amazing. You should check them out.
Which superpower would you rather have? Flight? Or invisibility? And Why?
I’ve read The Invisible Man, and we know how that turned out. I wouldn’t want to fly into a building or anything, so can I choose neither?
What is your favourite quote?
"Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast" - Ace Rimmer. Red Dwarf
What do you like to do when you’re not shoulder to the grindstone at StoreFeeder?
I’m a proud geek, so if it involves dice or tiny plastic miniatures, I’m on it. I’m also a keen musician and veg grower. I’ve also written a novel, that one day I might get round to publishing. I’m hoping to get married next year too, if we can ever find the perfect venue!
Thank you Adam, meet our team will return...
