Welcome to the latest Release Updates post.

Boy has it been wet outside... most of you reading this are based in the UK so I'm sure you can agree with me in saying that it'd be nice to see a bit of sunshine again soon. speaking of rays of sunshine, it's release day! Our Amazon integration is mostly in the spotlight this time round but we also have an exciting new StoreFeeder feature in cloning users and no, I don't mean that you'll be able to clone certain staff members - Though I'm sure it'd be fantastic to have another 10 of me to write such riveting content more frequently.

As per usual, our developers have been working hard to bring you an exciting update this month. There has been a lot of work in the background (which you can read about here) but there have been some great updates and new features released in this update, the highlights of which are below:

Amazon Customisation Information

In my usual fashion, first up we have a heavily requested feature, support for Amazon customisation options.

Before I get into it, a reminder that you can make your voice heard on features that you'd like to see in StoreFeeder as well; head on over to our UserVoice page to up-vote your favourite ideas or suggest entirely new ones that others might want to see as well!

I should also mention, we're making quite a few changes surrounding our support for Amazon customisation that will be released incrementally; some changes you wont even notice but others are worth mentioning like this one (to prove my point, there have already been two releases on this subject prior to this but I bet you had no idea!). So keep an eye out because there's certainly more to come.

Today's update brings us a new tab on the 'Edit Order' interface, the 'Customisation' tab. If an Amazon order contains items that have customisation information tied to them in Amazon, we will now import that and add it to the customisation tab.

We'll also put a note in the item options of the customised items stating that "This product has customisation options. To view these options, click on the Customisation tab." which is handy to have visible when you are picking orders.

The information imported in the customisation tab should be everything you would find on Amazon, including images submitted as part of the customisation information. There's also the option to download those images into a .zip file using the 'Download Images' highlighted in the image below:

I'm hoping you find a lot of use in this update, remember to keep your eye's peeled on future update notes for further improvements to our customisation handling.

Amazon Delivery Experience

Amazon are certainly getting some good treatment in this update; here we have another new feature that will import "Delivery Experience" information if you are an Amazon Business user.

If an order is placed through your Amazon Business account it will be imported with the customers business hours if they are are set up on their business account. This should then allow your team to select a suitable shipping method to suit the customers needs.

These details will be imported into the 'Special Instructions ' field on the order in question as demonstrated below:

Cloning User Permissions

Imagine a world where you no longer have to re-select all the correct permissions when creating a new user profile for a new picker, packer or any other role for that matter... Well imagine no more because it's here, we've added the ability to clone permissions from other user's profiles when creating a new user.

It's quite simple to do - the next time you need to create a new user, just select the profile you want to copy permissions from, from the aptly labelled dropdown box as shown below:

Finally….

There have been some great new features and fixes implemented in this release and we hope you find them useful in one way or another.

As always we’ll keep working hard to provide you with the best service we can.

From all of us here at StoreFeeder, happy selling.
