Welcome to the latest Release Updates post.
I've just got back from holiday personally and what a treat to be welcomed back by such a feature-packed release. As part of the onboarding team, I can assure you that there have been some excellent things added this time around that I'm genuinely excited about for you all!
Speaking of excitement, Black Friday is around the corner, an exciting time for customers and businesses alike. Don't think we aren't aware of the stress that also comes along with that particular weekend though and if you find you need any help with anything StoreFeeder related, be sure to reach out to us, we are here to try and make the experience as smooth as possible and hopefully make the usually stressful periods in the calendar year, less stressful.
As per usual, our developers have been working hard to bring you an exciting update this month. There has been a lot of work in the background but there have been some great updates and new features released in this update, the highlights of which are below:
Logos on Royal Mail Labels
This feature has been hotly requested for a while now and we've finally got the chance to be able to get it added for you all! You can now add your company logo to your Royal Mail labels.
To do this, you'll first need to let StoreFeeder know you actually want it to happen; you can do this by opening your Royal Mail integration and changing the text from "FALSE" to "TRUE" in the text field titled "Add company logos to labels" as shown below:
The image that we add to your labels will be the logo saved against the company identity associated with the channel that the order was from (you can change which company identity this is by editing your channel integrations).
Once that's done and the page is saved, you should now see that your Royal Mail labels have your company logo on them, as demonstrated in the example below:
Royal Mail International Address Format Fix
Whilst on the topic of Royal Mail, there's a small fix going out that is certainly worth mentioning to clear up any confusion caused previously by it.
There used to be a slight formatting error in the way international addresses were displayed in that the city would appear before the postcode. This is incorrect and has now been changed to the correct format of postcode followed by city.
Creating Kit Products from Listings
Here's a handy new feature for those that have perhaps just listed a fresh batch of kit products that need creating in StoreFeeder. You can now create kit products whilst mapping your listings.
There is a slight limitation and a prerequisite to using this though:
The limitation is that you can only create kits in this way that are made up of multiples of a single product SKU or at least, you can only add a single component SKU this way; you could then edit the newly created kit SKU and add more components if you need to.
The prerequisite is that the component has to exist as a product in StoreFeeder already as that is what you will need to select during the mapping process outlined below.
So how do you do it?
Well, when manually mapping a listing you would need to search for the component SKU you are wanting to be a part of this kit. Once you have that, you'll need to select it as you would when manually mapping usually.
From there, you'll be presented with the usual pop-up box that asks you to confirm that it's the correct product that you've selected but now you'll notice there's a new toggle been added asking if "the listing is a bundle of one or more of this product?"
Switching that to "Yes" will reveal the option to state how many of this product SKU is part of the bundle. Once you entered a number there, you can click either of the buttons used to map the listing; it will then proceed to create a new kit product and then map the listing to that newly created kit product.
Exporting Listing Error Messages
Now that we're discussing listings it seems only right to mention that we've also added a new listing export token! This one allows you to export listing error messages so that you can view all your listing errors in one place without scrolling over that caution symbol multiple times.
Finally….
There have been some great new features and fixes implemented in this release and we hope you find them useful in one way or another.
As always we’ll keep working hard to provide you with the best service we can.
From all of us here at StoreFeeder, happy selling.
