Welcome to the latest Release Updates post.

To my fellow hayfever sufferers out there, it's been a rough month I know but together, we are strong. Similarly, together, your business and StoreFeeder are getting stronger and stronger with each update we put out! In the last month we've had some excellent new additions to user permissions as well as a couple of great ways to provide a better customer experience to your clients; both of which, I'm excited to talk all about.

As per usual, our developers have been working hard to bring you an exciting update this month. There has been a lot of work in the background (which you can read about here) but there have been some great updates and new features released this past month, the highlights of which are below:

New Permissions!

As part of ongoing changes to increase the control you have over your users permissions in StoreFeeder, we've got a fresh batch for you to utilise. You will now be able to control the following permissions on each of your user's profiles:

  • Create purchase orders
  • Delete purchase orders
  • Send purchase orders
  • Cancel purchase orders
  • Archive product

Hopefully these extra permissions will help minimise the possibility of any mistakes/incidents occurring around the related areas of the system.

Sent to Supplier Customer Notification Emails

When drop shipping, sometimes there can be a big delay between a product being ordered from the supplier and the supplier shipping it out to the customer. We've had requests to add an option to set up an email notification for customers when their order goes into that "Sent to supplier" status and we've happily obliged.

Now, if you go to one of your company identities email settings in StoreFeeder, you'll see a new column for whether we should send and email when orders hit that 'Sent to supplier' status. Don't forget though, you'll need to create a new email template for 'sent to supplier' in order to use it!

DPD Courier Default Value - Phone Number

Yes, it certainly is frustrating when a customer hasn't left a phone number with their order and DPD then requires one; so then you have to either contact the customer to get one or just add a phone number of your own to the order. It'd be great if that last bit was done automatically, wouldn't it?

Great news, we've added a new default value to our DPD courier integration that will let you add a phone number we can automatically add to orders if one isn't present at the time of despatch.

For those unfamiliar with courier default values, I would highly recommend reading our guide on them here to see how they could benefit you in StoreFeeder.

Finally….

There have been some great new features and fixes implemented in this last month's release's and we hope you find them useful in one way or another.

As always we’ll keep working hard to provide you with the best service we can.

From all of us here at StoreFeeder, happy selling.
