A reminder of Royal Mail core services for IOSS orders

As you will be aware, the July 1st implementation date for IOSS is getting close.

You can see StoreFeeder’s current position on the blog post we did last week.

We have still not received any information from Amazon and eBay have still not updated the API connection so we can test the work we have completed.

**Update - The updated API is now available from eBay and our team are working with this**

This message is a reminder of the guidance you should have received from Royal Mail, about IOSS and using Royal Mail core services for IOSS orders.

Please see https://www.royalmail.com/business/international/guide/delivered-duties-paid/ioss-faqs which gives more information.

Royal Mail will only pass the IOSS number, to indicate EU VAT has been paid, on these core international services, so this is to remind you that if you are not using these core services, your orders may fail despatch when you despatch through StoreFeeder, or if overridden, your customer may end up paying EU VAT on the order twice. Once at checkout (IOSS) and once on import.

This is taken directly from the Royal Mail help page (above) as a reminder:

As above, the core services should be available on your Shipping Methods in StoreFeeder to allow you to create new shipping methods with these service codes, or adjust existing ones to switch to the new services.

Thanks
