Welcome to the latest Release Updates post.
Here it is, the last release notes I'll write until the new year. Now is as good a time as any to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year! I hope this year has been a fruitful one for you and the next one proves even more so; I also hope that you will have StoreFeeder alongside with you for the next year as well.
As per usual, our developers have been working hard to bring you an exciting update this month. There has been a lot of work in the background (which you can read about here) but there have been some great updates and new features released this past month, the highlights of which are below:
New Printer Type - Barcodes
Much like we give the option to select a default printer for A4, invoice & labels, we've now extended this to barcodes as well. Barcode scanning can help increase productivity and picking accuracy among other things so we want to make it as accessible as possible, hopefully this is another step in the right direction.
You can find the new default barcode printer option in the same place as the rest - at the top of the page to the left of your user/email address as shown below:
Supplier Cost & Name Permissions
The amount you pay suppliers for your stock, or even the suppliers name for that matter, might be something you don't want sharing with your employees. Previously there wasn't an option to hide this information specifically whilst still giving access to other product information but now that's a thing of the past.
If you'd like to adjust your user's supplier cost & name permissions they're kept in their own tree on the user permissions page as shown below:
Minimum Order Level & Desired Stock Level Visibility when Viewing Purchase Orders
Crikey that's a lengthy subtitle! Well, it's pretty much what it says on the tin. Previously you could only see these fields when creating a purchase order; having them both visible when viewing existing purchase orders will allow for better error checking.
To make theses columns visible, you will need to select them from the filter settings, which you can find in the top right of the 'Ordered Products' grid when you view any existing purchase order:
Purchase Order & Drop Shipment Status Amendment
Here's an excellent little addition, we've added the option to edit the order status of both purchase orders and drop shipments. Yes, weirdly, this wasn't an option before; there existed a 'reset purchase order' button that set a purchase order back to draft but that was all, there wasn't an equivalent on the drop shipping page either.
Now, you will be able to freely edit the order status of both purchase orders and drop shipments. This should be useful in a number of scenarios, such as if a supplier declines a purchase order or drop shipment you'll now be able to swiftly edit them and resubmit them.
Finally….
There have been some great new features and fixes implemented in this last month's release's and we hope you find them useful in one way or another.
As always we’ll keep working hard to provide you with the best service we can.
From all of us here at StoreFeeder, happy selling.
