Welcome to the latest Release Update blog post.

It's been a tough old year but Christmas is finally here! It may be a little different this year due to restrictions but hopefully, you will all still be able to enjoy the most wonderful time of the year. As a matter of fact, StoreFeeder has got you an early present to open in the form of an update, I wish I could see the excitement on your faces as this one really is a doozy.

As always, there has been a lot of work in the background but there have been some great updates and new features released in this update, the highlights of which are below:

Saving Filter Selections

Do you ever get sick and tired of entering the same filters over and over again that you use daily? Well, we hear you and would like to make it a little easier if we can.

We're going to be introducing the option to save sets of filters that you find you use frequently. Starting with the Picking page (Outstanding order grid) in this update, you will be able to save a filter pre-set at the click of a button as demonstrated below:

Once that button's clicked you'll be given the option to name the pre-set's and also whether to make them public or not, which would give all other users on your account access to use the filter set.

When you've done that, click save and you will then notice the set of filters has been added to the drop down list for you to use any time as shown below:

As mentioned, this feature is currently limited to the Outstanding Order grid on the Picking page but we plan to roll it out to more grids as soon as we can!

DHL Parcel UK Integration

DHL are really putting some graft into expanding their UK business and as part of that have become the new face of UK Mail. For our UK Mail and our DHL customers, we need to make sure we are keeping up to date with these changes; introducing, the new DHL Parcel UK integration.

Currently we have 4 international services ready to be used with more to come shortly. These services are:

  • 101 - Worldwide Air
  • 102 - DHL Parcel International
  • 204 - International Road Economy
  • 206 - DHL Parcel Connect

You can use your already existing UK Mail credentials to integrate for the most part but you will need to obtain an "API Key" from your DHL Parcel UK account manager.

It's worth noting that by the 1st January 2021, UK Mail integrations will no longer exist on StoreFeeder, so you will need to move over to DHL Parcel UK before then otherwise your UK Mail integration will just stop working.

DHL Paperless Trade

Two features for DHL in one update, crikey! This one is a pretty nice one though, it's the introduction of paperless trade compatibility in StoreFeeder.

Paperless trade, for those of you who aren't already aware, allows DHL users to submit customs documentation for their orders digitally. As the name would suggest, this eliminates the need for extra paper and will save both the environment and your pennies!

In StoreFeeder, it's extremely simple to set up. All you need do is flick a switch on your DHL Integration like so:

Don't forget to save the changes after you have done that!

It's worth mentioning that this feature won't work without first having customs information against your products in StoreFeeder. We have a guide on setting this up that can be found by clicking here.

You'll also need a digital signature uploaded to your company identity, along with choosing which declarations should be marked on CN22's and CN23's by default. Details on how to do so can be found in the update below this one.

Automatic Signature and Declaration Entry for Customs Documentation

Whilst certainly related to the update above, this can be considered it's own update as it's not just DHL this applies to. You can now have StoreFeeder automatically enter the following on to your customs documentation:

  • Signature
  • Declarations
  • VAT Number (Country specific ones as well!)

This can all be set up through your Company Identity where you will find the options just below your company's registered address as shown below:

Note: The signature image must be 70 x 300 or less.

It goes without saying really that the country specific codes will only be entered if the customers shipping address resides in the country stated. You will also need to tick the "Automatically sign and date custom declaration documents" box if you want the signature to appear on your CN22's and 23's.

Don't forget to save the changes to your company identity once you have done!

Shipping Costs for Products / Pricing Profiles Update

Did you think we were finished? Nope! I told you this one was a doozy...

For our Pricing Profiles users we've added a field on the "Shipping and Handling" section of your products that will allow you to state a shipping cost for it as shown below:

The shipping cost can be used in any of your pricing profile formulas using the new token as demonstrated here:

Pricing Profiles is a paid addon for StoreFeeder that helps manage your profit margins and bulk price changes across all of your products. If you are interested in learning more about Pricing Profiles please get in touch with our support team here.

Finally….

There have been some great new features and fixes implemented this release and we hope you find them useful in one way or another.

As always we’ll keep working hard to provide you with the best service we can.

From all of us here at StoreFeeder, happy selling.
