Welcome to the latest Release Update blog post.

Hopefully, by now, you're all up to speed with the IOSS changes if they apply to you; if not, you can find everything you need to know on the subject in the three most recent blog posts prior to this one.

It sure was hectic making sure everything was done correctly and on time for IOSS implementation; having to make these changes across every channel integration is no small task I can assure you. I have to congratulate our developers on the amount of time and effort they have dedicated to this task but perhaps, what's even more impressive, is that they've somehow managed to squeeze in a normal StoreFeeder update on schedule as well!

Now don't go expecting anything too big in this update, it's excellent that we've got one at all to be honest! In any case, I hope you manage to get some use out of the new features described in this article and I'll be back again soon bringing you all the latest features developed by the StoreFeeder team.

As always, there has been a lot of work in the background but there have been some great updates and new features released in this update, the highlights of which are below:

Two Factor Authentification

This feature is currently in an early access state so that we can test it on a handful of users first, if you would like to be one of those users, please enquire with our support team about having the feature activated on your account.

An excellent new feature for those out there who are security conscious, we've added the option of having 2FA on your StoreFeeder account.

It's entirely up to you if you make this mandatory for your team or not, you can find your StoreFeeder 2FA options under your settings (security) as shown below:

From here you'll see that there's an option to make 2FA mandatory for every user (circled below) or not along with the date to enforce it from.

From the 'Multi-Factor Authentication' page, you'll also be able to get an overview of the users that have multi-factor authentication configured on their account.

You can also set whether 2FA is needed on a user level; in order to do this the option to make 2FA mandatory should be set to "Yes". Once that's done, head over to the user permissions page and you'll find the 'ignore 2FA option' here:

Should you ever need to reset a user's 2FA, you can most certainly do so by going to that user's basic settings and clicking the 'Reset' button under the 'Multi-Factor Authentication' section as you can see here:

Once this is done, unless the user is now set to ignore 2FA, the user will be prompted to set up their 2FA again upon logging in next.

Magento Delivery Confirmation Number Upload

For those that don't know, a delivery confirmation number or "DCN" is a number assigned to your Royal Mail consignments if they are not sent by a trackable service. This number is not used to track your parcel, it is merely used as a number to state that the parcel has been despatched and also to show when it has been received; it cannot be used to locate a parcel mid-transit, nor can it be used to claim any reparations if a parcel goes missing.

You can now, just like with our Amazon and eBay integrations, send your Royal Mail delivery confirmation numbers up to Magento, should you wish to.

As with the other aforementioned integrations, switching the feature on is done in exactly the same way. Simply edit your Magento integration then, on the same page you land on, scroll down to the channel settings section and switch on the 'Send Delivery Confirmation Numbers' option as shown below:

Don't forget to click 'Save' at the bottom of the page once you are done!

New Order Export Tokens

For those unfamiliar with our order export template tool, I would strongly advise looking into it to see if you could use it to get even more out of StoreFeeder; perhaps you could use it for reporting, or maybe it might help in using that courier or accountancy software you wanted to use that doesn't currently have an integration with StoreFeeder yet. You can find a guide on creating order export templates here:

https://support.storefeeder.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360007740877--Creating-a-Default-Order-Export-Template

This update brings three new tokens to the order export template tool that we hope will be useful to you. All of them do what they say on the tin so to speak, they are:

  • On Purchase Order
  • On Back Order
  • Return Date

Finally….

There have been some great new features and fixes implemented this release and we hope you find them useful in one way or another.

As always we’ll keep working hard to provide you with the best service we can.

From all of us here at StoreFeeder, happy selling.
