Meet our team
6th October 2022
One of our most loved blogs returns this week, and it’s time for Nick McCaffery to step up!
What’s Your job title?
Marketing and Partnerships manager.
What do you do at StoreFeeder?
I manage our comms, socials and content for the website, as well as working with outside agencies to manage our advertising and trade events that the company gets involved in.
What problem faced by eCommerce companies is it that you want to solve?
That’s a big question. I think StoreFeeder gives eCommerce businesses the tools to automate the mundane. One big challenge independent eCommerce companies face is rising above the noise. When the small but essential tasks are dealt with, saving time and money, the business owner can work on essentials like marketing and innovations that will raise their profile. This will hopefully take them above the noise.
What are your past credentials? How do you fit into the StoreFeeder make-up?
My history well, where do we begin? For this, though, I have worked in digital since 1999 and the cutting edge of emerging technologies. My past roles involved marketing and eCommerce in one way or another. So, I bring experience, and I’d hope, enthusiasm.
What do you like best about working at StoreFeeder?
Working at StoreFeeder allows you to be the best version of yourself. The management wants to hear your ideas, and they listen too. The expectations are high, but it makes you want to aim higher.
What is the primary benefit a company gets by signing up for StoreFeeder?
It saves you time. You can buy anything, staff, equipment, etc. You can’t purchase hours in the day. StoreFeeder saves you time; it allows you to get the essentials done quickly and efficiently. You are giving yourself time to work on the business instead of being stuck working in the business.
What values drive you?
Honest achievement. Doing something to the absolute best that you can do it. Treat everyone, colleagues etc as if they were your most valued customer.
Who’s your favourite band?
Nick Hornby said, don’t follow the bands. They’ll always let you down, love the songs. They stay great. So here are some songs, you make it easy by Air, Bad (live) U2, Woke up this Morning Alabama 3, Take me With u, Prince and the Revolution, No Regrets by the Walker brothers, and just because everyone else at StoreFeeder seems to like the overrated Mancunian rockers, Round are Way by Oasis. The list of songs I love is endless, but we must give a special shout-out to the Beatles with Norwegian Wood.
If you could swap places with someone for a day, who would it be, and what would you do?
I’d swap places with my Dog for a day. Lovely walks, lying around on soft furnishings, napping constantly, and eating meals that consist only of meat? What’s not to like about that? I’d get bored, so a day would be enough.
What is your favourite quote?
“You either care, or you don’t!” Stanley Kubrick
What do you like to do when you’re not shoulder to the grindstone at StoreFeeder?
I cook, run, read, watch films, and have two children who bring the joy. Top of the list is listening to music, I collect vinyl, and I love putting records on.
Meet our team will return….
